Gilbert Early College is dedicated to providing its
students with the tools necessary to become independent lifelong learners and citizens of
character with a concern for individuals in their
community. This will be accomplisthed through
a rigorous curriculum, preparing students for
post-secondary education, civic engagement in
the community, and a variety of extra-curricular
opportunities.

Why Choose Gilbert Early College?

There’s something special about our high school. Not only are we an “Excelling” high school, but our program gets students on the college campus, giving them the confidence that they can succeed at the college level. Our academic advisor works with each student to build a course schedule to meet high school graduation requirements and specific college goals. Starting their junior year, students take college classes through Chandler-Gilbert Community College and earn college credit that is paid by Gilbert Early College. In fact, most students will earn at least one year of college while still in high school, and motivated students can complete two years of transferable college credit, enabling enrollment at the Junior level in AZ State Universities. History

Founded in 2002 by Delmer Geesey, a pastor with the vision of starting a top-notch traditional education program, Leading Edge Academy began with 17 students. Through word of mouth by satisfied parents, the school began to grow each year, and the high school, called Gilbert Early College, was started in 2005 with approximately 45 students. Today, the elementary campus and high school is home to more than 220 students. Leading Edge Academy has been ranked “Top 10 Charter School in the Valley” for the past 2 years. Gilbert Early College is located at the Life Community Church campus in Gilbert, AZ.
